Patterns of Africa

My African childhood in Masaailand was filled with luminous brilliance, fragrance and diverse beauties.  Zebras, giraffe, my beloved tortoise... all taught me of nature's patterns, as did coffee beans, jacaranda flowers or even chirimoya fruit.  High above my home in the distance hovered Mt. Meru, a mighty extinct volcano that became "my" mountain companion.
