The last days of a shrimp boat's life are always sad to witness. The fate of this vessel, driven up on a sand bar for its last berth, echoes, to an extent, that of the shrimping industry in Georgia. High fuel and operating costs, dangerous work and, above all, cheap pond-grown imports have decimated the once-proud Georgian shrimping world.
