These graceful iris used to grow in our garden in Tanzania, so when I found them in a Mallorcan garden centre, I was delighted. They thrive in our garden now and each spring, their feathery brilliance delights and intrigues. They seem truly oriental in their elegant habit of growth, which makes them all the more appealing to paint.
