Sapelo Shell 4 x 5" image
The long white beach on the south end of Sapelo Island is often strewn with wonderful shells after a storm. This angel wing shell, half of the bivalve, is a miracle of construction, strong enough to withstand the pounding of waves as the surf tumbles in to the shore.
