Lilium candidium 7 x 10" image
I was almost made drunk by the sweet perfume of these elegant lilies as I draw them. They have such associations in my mind with the wonderful Renaissance artists’ paintings of the Annunciation – the Angel always held an exquisitely rendered Lily.
